Poison Ivy is a plant/vine that grows in North America. Simply touching this plant will give many people an allergic reaction which shows up as a rash. In some cases, this rash can be quite severe, affecting the whole body, even though the plant may not have touched more than just a person's hand or other small part. However, some sources state that only about 50% of the population is sensitive to this plant. It should be noted that someone who has not been sensitive to it for years may suddenly develop a sensitivity to it, and vice versa.
