The Bardas Child Protective Hood is a positive-pressure hooded respirator systems developed by Bardas and the Israel Defense Forces. It is designed to protect children from nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) agents for extended periods of time in the event of an emergency. The Child Protective Hood respiratory system utilizes a battery-operated blower in combination with the included NBC FILTER to supply a constant flow of filtered air to the hood. The Bardas is specifically designed to provide respiratory protection to small children during NBC emergencies with optimal simplicity, comfort and safety, assuring extended use minimal interference in normal activities.

• Light and flexible impermeable hood--includes:
  • Large optical grade visor
  • Drinking system for safe fluid intake in contaminated environments
  • Comfortable and easily adjustable head harness and neck strap, with elastic webbing
  • Flexible rubber hose--for direct filtered air into the hood
• Compact and reliable air supply unit--blower draws ambient air through the filter canister and delivers it into the protector under positive pressure. Positive pressure prevents the entry of contaminated air from the outside form entering the protective hood. Complete Unit Comes with:
  • A highly efficient miniature blower enclosed in a durable polycarbonate housing.
  • Four lithium-MnO2 batteries
  • Specially designed NBC rated filter canister
  • Hood provides a wide field of vision
• Comfortable and brightly colored vest--acts as an interface between the hood and the air supply unit and secures the hood on the child
