RungMaster System
The RungMaster is a cost effective way to protect your workers when they are climbing fixed ladders. All RungMaster components are made from galvanized steel for maintenance-free operation. The system comes complete with an energy absorber; which is built into the top bracket. The energy absorber will deploy at 900 lbs., keeping the ladder from being damaged in the event of a fall. The RungMaster system comes with all equipment necessary to install the system on any continuous straight fixed ladder system. All RungMaster Safety Systems are engineered to meet or exceed applicable CSA, ANSI and OSHA requirements.
Installation of your RungMaster requires no special tools and can be installed in minutes. Simply start at the top of your ladder and work your way down. Follow the instruction manual for postioning of intermediate brackets. Once all the components are installed, simply tension the system using the turnbuckle and cut the excess cable off (if necessary). It's that simple!

To Order A RungMaster System:

  1. Choose the type of top bracket; regular bracket use FP6000/XX and for ladders extended above the platform use the extended bracket FP6001/XX
  2. Obtain the height of the ladder
  3. Select the kit based on the length of the ladder (i.e. 50' ladder requires a FP6000/50 kit)
  4. If your ladder is between sizes, then select the next longer length of kit to ensure you have enough cable
  5. Select the number of automatic cable grab assemblies required (FP571/8 or FP571/10)

FP6600 Series Tripods
The North FP6600 Tripod is engineered with the user in mind. The aluminum legs are made of square tubing for added lightness and required strength. The cast alloy head has an integrated pulley system allowing a cable from a device to pass through the center of the head. This eliminates costly pulleys and allows one of the 2 eyebolts in the head to be used as a tie-off point for the topside worker. Another advantage of the FP6600 Tripod is that retractable devices are located on the outside of the working area and not beneath the tripod. This allows a narrower profile and that means the tripod can fit into tighter spaces. North's all-aluminum construction sacrifices nothing to the safety and security of its users. All are rated for one person at 310 lbs. and meet applicable ANSI and OSHA requirements.

BantamLift Davit System
The same thought that went into North's Tripod design is found in the BantamLift Davit System. Lightweight aluminum alloy makes this system one of the lightest in the industry. Component based, you will be able to mix and match your product requirements as the line continues to expand. The surface mounted davit consists of a base, davit and davit boom. The ladder davit consists of a ladder-top base and davit mast. All components are engineered to meet or exceed ANSI and OSHA requirements.

3-Way Self Retracting Lifelines — Confined Space Retrieval Systems

All units are equipped with a load indicator that triggers to show the unit has experienced a severe force. All versions meet or exceed applicable ANSI, OSHA CSA and CE requirements.

Res-Q-Man Rope System
Res-Q-Man is a unique multi-purpose rope system that provides functions including rescue and self-rescue, ascending and descending and postioning at height. Its simple operation allows one person to control the rate of ascent or descent with the Ascender Handle. For positioning, the unit can be locked off with the ascender handle providing a brake on the line. Reliable, simple and a 3:1 hauling ratio provide a system with multi-purpose capability.
  • Can be activated by one person for positioning work
  • Great for work where soft bases are a problem like grain elevators, over water or in aggregate silos
  • Can be used with a harness, seat or stretcher
  • Excellent for work where movement up and down a structure is required like ship building, window washing, aerial lifts and cable car rescue

Controlled Descent Evacuation Systems
An emergency descent for evacuation or rescue purposes requires a device you can depend on. You rely on it to work smoothly, safely and without the need of specialized skills to get you to a safe place out of harm's way. North has two options to choose from providing a safe, controlled descent speed for use for single or multiple descents. All operate at approximately 6 feet per second and are suitable for use over land and water. All are CSA certified for use as automatic descenders.

Lever-Type Rope Descender
Whether on pole top or at the top of a transmission tower, the FP8116T lever type descender offers a lightweight alternative for quick descent and evacuation using rope. It is equipped with an auto-stop device should the user let go of the brake handle. Rope required is supplied with one swaged termination for quick attachment to anchorage connector.
